Roppongi

Sorry to keep it short, but I'm not all that interested in writing about it compared to all the Okinawa stuff I'd rather talk about. But anyway, on Tuesday I went to Roppongi Hills to examine the shopping malls there for a field study, and here are the pictures I took from there. Roppongi Hills is crazy and not really that "shopping mall" like, but Tokyo Midtown was. They were both interesting enough, but they were just shopping districts. Meh. Haha. =P

Here's the album anyway :

Oh, and prepare for about ~1200 pictures and videos from Okinawa. Yeah. You might want to take a day off of work or clear your schedule, haha. That'll be later this afternoon. ;)

The mall in Roppongi did not exist when I lived in Japan. When the family went in 2004 I took both the girls and we were all disappointed. For an interesting shopping place try Takeshita-dori in Harajaku. It's all booths, small boutique stores, some restaurants and sort of the home of Tokyo teen fashion. You will invariably see some strange English writing on signs and clothing some of which is completely incomprehensible. Kelli just loved this area.

Hi, Damian. that was some mall. did you buy anything there except your blueberry crepe? was the garden outside the mall , with the birds, flowers and water? the ducks and baby ducks were so cute. the ladies near the mall or in it looked like ladies you would see down in ny city.the shops were nice. but like you said, expensive. that spider was huge. different too. the gardens, artitecture sure is unique. the size of the bldgs are huge, mid tokoyo is like you said, more like what we have around big cities. not here in pawling or poughkeepsie. down in westchester though.. did your friend ever find her panda purchase? i missed this photo group, somehow. enjoyed seeing it though.. thanks for sharing..Gram & Papa
